On March 23, 2024, we started the process of analysing the Enugu State's 2024 Budget to encourage public awareness and generate feedback and citizen participation in the governance process.
I opened an invitation to interested participants to join the #Enugu2024BudgetWatch group and I have been delighted to engage with about a dozen individuals over the past few weeks. It is our hope that more people take an interest and become committed to promoting accountability from our state government.
After the first episode that gave a synopsis of the 377-page budget, we are pleased to share the second episode that delves into the revenue generation plans of Enugu State. We raise questions about the ambitious targets and offer advice on the methods of revenue generation.
Our goal is to promote a citizen drive effort to hold the government accountable to its duties by helping you understand the issues and ask the right questions.
